Key Stage 2
For the third year in a row, in 2024, children in year 6 at Stepney Park did better than the national average in all subjects in their end of key stage 2 tests (SATs).
In addition, 5% of children at Stepney Park achieved a higher standard in all three of reading, writing and maths in 2024.
Times Tables
We are proud that over half of our children (52%) achieved full marks in the Multiplication Tables Check in 2024. Our average score was 22.2.
Phonics
Phonics is an essential building block of learning to read. As such, we are proud that just over 83% of our year 1 cohort passed the Phonics Screening Check in 2024. This is the third year in a row where children in year 1 at Stepney Park have outperformed the national average (80.4%). Some children in year 2 also took the Phonics Screening Check: 97% of this cohort have now passed the check.
EYFS
We are pleased that 59% of our reception cohort reached a Good Level of Development (GLD) by the end of reception.
