In year 6, we have been testing the solubility of different materials. Here are some pictures of us testing whether sand, salt, vinegar and coffee granules dissolve in water. We started by predicting the results and thinking about the best way to record our results. We also used this investigation to think about what other follow up investigations we would complete. For example, some children wanted to know whether the temperature of the water would change our results. Others wanted to know if we continued to stir the solutions that did not dissolve, would this affect the results?
